Spanish term

en el mismo

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) hospital website
This is from a ministerial order on donating sperm.

I am unsure what en el mismo is referring to - is it referring the the decentralised centres?

therein (el Registro Nacional)

Clumsy wording but I think this is what it means. Common sense suggests that it will be the central database which tells the regional ones that time us up for our happy donor.

This is fine (used by Shakespeare in King Lear, for example) and in my opinion sounds a little less 'law school' than therein.
Also 'en el mismo' more than likely refers to the centre where the donation was made, and not the central registry.
Peer comment(s):

agree Peter Clews : You're right, matt, it refers to the "centros y servicios autorizados", and not to the National Registry, as FVS and myself thought. It should really say "en los mismos", although it may well be done on a one-by-one basis. I shall withdraw my answer.

disagree liz askew : It is the Central Office of the database sending out the information here to the decentralised sites/centres.
