Spanish term

derogación de los niveles de temperatura

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general)
From a text on climate control systems (Spain document, into British English).
Tasks to be carried out:

- Controla la programación de la climatización
- Realiza la derogación de los niveles de temperatura
- Selecciona el modo de funcionamiento de la climatización

Not sure what this means in this context. TIA!

configuration / setting up of temperature levels

I suspect the source text: http://w27.bcn.cat/porta22/es/fitxes/T/fitxa4712.jsp
has been 'contaminated' (in the strictly scientific sense of the term) by words from the Catalan language.

Looking at the complete list of tasks, which are rather loosely interrelated, suggests that 'derogación' might mean 'setting up', or 'configuring', as in 'over-writing' (hence: derrogating from) factory-set system parameters.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks mediamatrix and everyone! I went with this because these are tasks that are done during installation, so I suppose they are configuring the levels."

resetting temperature levels (or settings)

'derogacion' means to annul or repeal and so given the context the whole expression must refer to 'resetting the temperture levels / settings / controls'.
