Swedish term

spänningsfält

Non-PRO Swedish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Institional theory

The Swedish term appears to be the equivalent of "stress field" in English and is used almost exclusively in earth sciences. Would be grateful for any suggestions on how to translate this.
Many thanks in advance!

force field

A literal description of (strong) forces at play. Example: political force field, clearing the force field in a room. See the link to an article on Robert Oppenheimer below, Life in a Force Field.
Excerpt from EAPAA, Heart for the Public Cause:
All functions mentioned above have in common the public manager works from an integral
perspective. He is like ‘the spider in the web’ of the social-political force field and:
· oversees the decision trajectory (from conditions to consequences);
· takes the political force field, in which decisions are taken or not, into consideration;
· thinks strategically;
· contributes to the design of the decision trajectory (including financial-economic and legal aspects);
· quickly and adequately masters the content knowledge on the subject of the decision trajectory.

A little imprecise perhaps but this is what I would expect to see in English
