: I'd go with "injured" or possibly "injuries" for "lesionados". Deaths or fatalities would work for the other one.

This is only a guess, but it would make sense in the context. I think "M" stands for "Muerte" or maybe "Muertes", so one person was killed in the accident. "L" could be something like "Lastimados", meaning injured. So you could translate "M" and "L" by "D" and "I" respectively, although I would be more inclined to use the full words, thus:
Dead (or Deaths): 1
Injured (or maybe Injuries): 4
