English term

regulatory or competition clearance period

English to French Bus/Financial Finance (general) fusion/merge
Was there a #regulatory or competition clearance period# prior to the deal completion?

Dans une étude sur les fusions d'entreprises.

Merci.

rkillings Sep 30, 2010:
What this means in English is far from clear, but in an M&A context it probably refers to 'clearance' by authorities with the power to nix the proposed merger or aquisition on either antitrust (=competition) or other regulatory grounds.

Proposed translations

33 mins

période de mise en concurrence réglementaire

According to European law, deals can only be allocated after several competitors were allowed to submit bids.
