No, Joel... none of those.
Joel Pina Diaz Apr 18, 2010:
Or SAPPHIRE,CREST,CAFÉ,SHELTER...
Joel Pina Diaz Apr 18, 2010:
Lesley, please let me know if anywhere in the context do they mention on of those options: Sistema de Théro, Sistema PercuSurge, Sistema de Kachel con filtro Angioguard Emboli Capture System.
Lesley Jackson (X) (asker) Apr 18, 2010:
fresh thoughts/info -- are you all still there? Having found on other records that the entry in this field is "yes" (instead of ns/nc), I now see this field as a question about the stent placement technique used -- i.e., was it direct stenting? (as opposed to vessel being predilated) In light of this, any new ideas about what ns/nc might mean? At first I thought, then maybe it IS "no sabe/no contesta" -- but no, the doctor would know the technique used, right? Thanks.
Noni Gilbert Riley Apr 16, 2010:
Thanks Lesley - - I thnk I was being misled (for which read, I was misleading myself!!) by the fact that in the sense of "no sabe/ no contesta", "ns/nc" is normally to be found in surveys. Sorry to have been heading us possibly in the wrong direction.
Lesley Jackson (X) (asker) Apr 16, 2010:
Please see context given in my original post: this is a medical record -- an angioplasty report by a cardiologist. It has nothing to do with patient responses. Thanks.
Noni Gilbert Riley Apr 16, 2010:
Other possible responses to other questions? If you could let us see a few more Lesley we might be more confident in our replies - I'm inclined to my first reaction, which is the same as Smartanslators' - the patient might not know the info or fail to answer, and these abbreviations are very common. But I'd like to see if it would fit in with the wider picture. Thanks.
Joel Pina Diaz Apr 16, 2010:
Note for Mr. Faridis... Sounds definitively correct, nevertheless for me is not common, where in the link do they mention about the abbreviations? Or somewhere else? I will appreciate your feedback. Thank you in advance.
Lesley Jackson (X) (asker) Apr 16, 2010:
Yes, I've seen "ns/nc" in a marketing research context, but that doesn't seem to work here. Thanks
Hola Lesley. En vista de que tienes más contexto, podría tratarse de ¿"no sabe, no contesta"? Saludos

I have put "low" because I hate acronyms

I have addedd references forthese are tpyes of stents and they would be the same in English
