"En la parrilla de cuñas se creará una cuña de tipo flash..."
"...cada cuña se añade a la parrilla de cuñas del player con una hora de próxima reproducción que es calculada en base a la hora de inicio de reproducción de la cuña..."

We are talking about software that plays music videos, ads, etc, on screens in public places and considering both the audio and visual content. "Parilla" is referring to something that is shown on the computer screen. I also have "fondo" for background so I suspect it to be "wallpaper" but am not 100% sure.

I know that "wedge" can be used in software terms but am not sure about "wedge wallpaper".

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Typical jargon "Cuña" can mean lots of things, this client obviously uses it for "slot", which is usually... something else, can't remember offhand, but it came up recently in a post.

Schedule slot In the end the client said it was a "schedule" in this context. I think Neil's option of "jingle" was perfectly correct, but that "slot" was more general for my context. I also think that "grid" fitted the context and could be the correct translation on another occasion.

"stamp" grid would be a literal translation but it depends on what you're calling these "cuñas" in the IT context and where the text is for (Europe or LA, etc).

"Wallpaper" is usually "fondo de escritorio" in Spanish from Spain.

It looks like they may mean "icons", which in Spain are usually called "iconos".
If so, "icon grid" would be a possibility...

Although "jingles" are also called "cuñas" on the radio etc... So it depends what the SW you are describing actually does...

The term "parrilla de cuñas" It is often found in the vicinity of "archivos de fondos". In other parts of the document I also have "cuña publicitaria", "el sistema de cuñas de audio", "índice de cuñas" and "cuña" used alone. Jingles is too specific. It is Castellano to British Eng.
Or maybe not, it does fit into all of the contexts I've given and some of the content is related to marketing...

Yers, it looks like "cuña" is sort of polysemic joker term like "ficha" or "tecnico" which can mean almost anything ...
