Bardzo liczę na Waszą pomoc. Głowa mi dziś pęka i nie mogę złapać swoich własnych myśli. Noszę się z tym ultimate jak słonica w przenoszonej ciąży.

Propozycja - może tak to rozegrać? Słowo "idealny" kojarzy się m.in. z Platonem, a w szerszym kontekście pojawia się utopia jako przykład tego "ultimate" właśnie.
"(...) możemy powiedzieć, że koncepcja porządku/ładu moralnego i politycznego może mieć charakter idealny - jak na przykład wspólnota świętych - bądź realny (ew. bądź należeć do świata / realizować się w świecie "tu i teraz"). Być może będzie wymiar absolutny, choć boje się, że to może być nadinterpretacja, bo nie chodzi przecież o nasz dzisiejszy stosunek do wspólnoty świętych skupionych wokół Boga (poza tym na pewno są osoby, które w to głęboko wierzą i dzisiaj, ale nie chcę się wdawać w dyskusje religijne), lecz o to, że w średniowieczu panowało przekonanie, że ten cel jest osiągalny, a zatem dościgniony, tylko czas na jego osiągnięcie jeszcze nie nadszedł. Stąd moje wahanie. Może też porozmawiam o tym z autorem, jeśli mi się uda. :) Heh, z ultimate zawsze są problemy.
For the time being, I did translate it into Polish as "an ultimate end" but am trying to find a solution without adding anything to the text.
