Spanish term

abstracción

If there are defects that make impossible the use of goods, the purchaser usually will negotiate a refund, this is a possibility directly related to the mean of payment used, its abstraction and automatism.

Selected

the particular characteristics and refundability of the [particular] form of payment used.

"Abstracción" here seems to refer to the particular qualities of the form of payment involved, whiel "automatismo" appears to refer to the ease of refundability of said payment.

Suerte.
Peer comment(s):

agree cmwilliams (X) : this is a possibility. The literal translations of 'abstracción' and 'automatismo' just don't work in this context.

I entirely agree. Thanks so much, CM.
agree Alejandro Alcaraz Sintes : I agree. Abstracción del pago = "whether it is paid in cash, by cheque, promissory note..." and "automatismo = "whether it is automatically paid or not". Good reading comprehension exercise.

deduction
