In any case of loss of LV-power, batteries as continuity group shall provide the required power to sustain all necessary systems for a controlled and safe shut down and cool down of the power plant.
The emergency diesel generator shall provide power to the low voltage emergency bus bar, mainly for battery back up/recharging and loads, which tolerate an interruption of power supply of some seconds in case of main power loss.
Controlling power range shall be according to grid code. Reactive power shall be controlled via the generator excitation and the on-load tap changer of the step-up transformer.
