I got a little lost with this one:

No puede faltar un pic-nic en el crater y un safari fotográfico: contemplar los hermosos leones de piel ocre tumbados al sol o la increíble fauna oculta que habita en el crater, es otro más de los atractivos de encontrarse con África.

Do not miss out on a picnic in the crater or a photo safari – gazing at the beautiful, ochre skin lions arched to the sun or the incredible hidden fauna that live in the crater...

brown/ochre (furred) lions lying / basking in the sun

I've avoided using skin, because we don't actually see their skin, but their fur (the writer didn't have his/her eye completely on the ball here, I fear!). In fact I think it works best without anything at all. The colour adjective used is a little surprising: golden is what we're used to. And tumbados is really just lying, but basking is asking to be used I feel - a question of collocation.

agree Lydia De Jorge : I agree 100%! 'Piel' refers to the fur not the skin and I like basking -

Thanks Lydia!
agree Natalia Pedrosa (X) : I completely agree with Lydia. Fur and basking. ;)

Thanks Natalia.
agree liz askew : doh! of course, skin would imply they were bald! I was just translating literally! Strange, cos I don't like "basking" reminds me of sea lions rather than lions...:-)

agree jmleger : ochre lions basking in the sun (forget the fur, forget the coloured, it's superfluous.)

reddish-brown lions basking in the sun

I think you can play around with the style a bit ... tumbados, flopped down... but they are indeed basking in the sun. More poetic... :--)

golden-brown lions lazing in the sun

Colors are highly subjective and no words can accurately describe them.
Peer comment(s):

agree Tara Orzolek : I hate to say it, but often you have to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and I think most people would better visualize golden-brown than ochre. Although I do like basking vs. lazing.

agree Ruth Ramsey : I like "basking" but I think golden-brown captures it nicely.
