I prefer principal. Depending on context "primeros" could be referring to the first principal conductors (i.e. the first of many if we are talking about a succession of conductors, but we'd need more context to know).

Sorry! just looked again at the question and I can see there is no more context. I think it's just principal conductors and then second conductors.
