Based on a sentence of 6 months, beginning on 2/2/04, your projected release date would be 8/1/04.
Now for just a little extra good news, if your actual projected release date falls on 8/1/04, that would make your release date a Sunday. The BOP, as a normal practice, do not release inmates on the weekends, or federal holidays. Instead the give them what is called "Public Law Days", so with 2 public law days you will actually be released from prison on July 30, 2004 (a Friday).
