Spanish term

la destorcida

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Investing
What is the most accurate translation for this term in English? I think I get the idea that it means for things to start going downhill, but I'm not certain, that isn't precise enough and I'm looking for a one or two-word equivalent. The writer is Colombian and describing his investments in the stock market. Thanks in advance!

"Todo parece indicar que la situacion sigue siendo positiva y permancecerá así por algun tiempo. Me parece que el gran secreto es detectar con tiempo *la destorcida* para así poder aprovechar un buen momento de salida."

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Both patinba and William Pairman hit this on the nose. Wish I could credit you both!! It's precisely the term I was seeking but braindead on. Thanks to both of you, and let's hope we have reason to cheer an "UPTURN" pretty darn soon!"

the unwinding

Just another option. Perhaps more literal.
Peer comment(s):

agree ldfx : I prefer this one, because "destorcida" gives me the impression of "taking a turn for the best", or "relaxation"

Thank you for the agree, Idfx, although in Colombia the expression never refers to a turn for the best or for relaxing.
