Witam, czy ktoś mógłby zaproponować mi coś bardziej 'native' niż bezpośrednie tłumaczenie 'We invite you to familiarize yourself with our offer'? Byłbym wdzięczny. Pozdrawiam!
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): inmb, Vanda Nissen

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

~Ania~ Nov 12, 2008:
..looking round our website' (if taken from a website) or 'Check out our wide range of products on offer' and possibly add 'If you don't see what you are looking for please contact us as we can may be able to source it for you' etc.
~Ania~ Nov 12, 2008:
I like Stuart's suggestion ;-) it would be good to throw out more of these 'awkward' one-liners, but if you really feel you must translate it, I would not attempt to translate it literally but use a similar 'marketing' phrase, such as 'We hope you enjoy
Stuart Dowell Nov 12, 2008:
It's a fair point Maciek. It depends on Andrzej's text. I've often seen this type of sentence placed at the bottom of brochures, adverts etc. when they would have been better without it. On the other hand, maybe your web sources are also good models.
Maciek Drobka Nov 12, 2008:
This may appear biased, but I am also surprised by the non-pro classifications. This phrase is quite idiomatic in Polish and one that translators often stumble upon.
Maciek Drobka Nov 12, 2008:
...which shows that an equivalent of the Polish phrase can be used in English at least in some contexts.
Maciek Drobka Nov 12, 2008:
(I am writing in English because Stuart is a native speaker of English.)
I agree that including this phrase can sound awkward in some contexts, but on the other hand, the English phrases I suggested are quite often on the web, including on native sites...

Don't translate it - leave it out!

This kind of sentence often comes across as awkward and unnatural when it is translated into English. My suggestion is to be less literal with the source. It might be the correct strategy in this instance.

Note from asker:
It does sound awkward in English, but I'm not sure I can tell the client to leave it out. So I will probably go with the answer above. Thanks.

thnx :-)
neutral nrabate : Better yet, why not just skip translating the entire text, after all, who reads this stuff, anyway?

agree ~Ania~ : I have to agree because translated and placed at the end it does look awkward, but it entirely depends on what comes before and after this particular sentence.
