The following is a transcript of a conversation between a guy who is in jail and a friend. JEE is the guy in jail, and W is the friend. This would be Mexican Spanish.
Ay no, te digo, te digo, no
JEE: Pos..
As far as I know, a "boton" would be an informant, correct? But what would "me lo puso en el dedo" mean? Thanks for your help.

snitch
I know that "poner el dedo" means to snitch. I'm somewhat confused by "en", though. I the guy said "me puso el dedo", I would be sure.

Comment: "Thanks very much for your help. It is very possible that the audio was not clear, so I'm adding "me puso el dedo" as an option in the glossary."

Hi Jessica, assuming that you and the other answerer are right (and what you say makes sense to me) - this is one possibility...
Good luck!

I got snitched on/ I got turned in
He means to say that he got told on/snitched on/his name was given to the cops etc...

: Well, yes, that's right. Except I'm not sure what "en is doing in the sentece. Can it simply be bad quality recording?

Thanks. It means to be put on the finger, to be pointed out.
