Sorry i don't speak arabic, so i would appreciate if theanswer it is also in english!

I am working on a translation of the description of various'riads' in Marrakech, and the comforts offered to guests, and i came across the work 'DERB'

Context: "the riad is located in a well litand easyto findderb" I saw some reviews with the word derb, so i am thinking itis street? road? or could it be an area of the Medina inMarrakech? If anyone could please help me? Thank you.

small streets, as Jessica suggests can also be called "alleys".
Peer comment(s):

agree Jessica Mulder : We use it in Morocco only for a small alley, so not for a big street.

Many thanks Stephen :)
neutral imane stanton : Actually in Morocco it can mean a small neighborhood and that especially applies to my beloved Marrakech. "oulad ad-derb" are the "neighborhood guys" for example.
