Gracias

Matt Horsman Jul 1, 2008:
Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_level the part containing overview and history. Reference to A level as being equal to the 'European Baccalaureate', also known, in Spanish as 'Bachillerato'
Matt Horsman Jul 1, 2008:
Sorry, but the answer you have selected isn't correct for British English

neutral liz askew : Only for the record: this would mean very little to a UK English speaker.

disagree Matt Horsman : Sorry, but please see my answer, this isn't correct in British English. High School is American isn't the same as is the British education system

Secondary School Certificate (Humanities)

Secondary School Certificate/Diploma with orientation in Humanities
Note from asker:
Peer comment(s):

Muchas gracias Robert ;)
agree liz askew : I will vote for "Humanities" having never come across Human Services cluster in the UK education system.//Claro pero es que para la gente lo vea en el futuro :-)

Muchas gracias Liz ;)...
agree anne wagner-findeisen : agree w humanities

Muchas gracias ;)

disagree Matt Horsman : It's 'A' Level in British English, that is the qualification officially recognised as the equivalent to 'Bachillerato'
19 hrs

Not "high school" this is a higher level of edication.
Also simply "BA in Humanities"

Sorry! It should be "Bachelor" and "Education"
Peer comment(s):

neutral Maria Kisic : Hola Steven.

disagree Matt Horsman : Bachellor of Arts is a university degree. The Bachillerato is taken before going to university

I realize that now, Thank you!

Eqivalent to 'A' Level in Humanities

Sorry, I know this question is closed....but 'High School' doesn't exist in the UK education system. The Bachillerato is the exam you take at 18 years of age, before going to university, which in the UK are your 'A' Levels. I had to translate my CV into Spanish for my current job, and for my 'A' Levels I put 'Equivalente al Bachillerato'. I can't believe nobody else from the UK spotted this.

You are totally right.Thank you very much for your observation.
Peer comment(s):
