French to English Science Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) university courses
One of a list of courses available at a Swiss university:

"...chimie, biotechnologie, technologie alimentaire, **technologies du vivant*...".

There are plenty of French refs on the Internet but I'm still trying to find a suitable English translation. Any ideas?

Hi Melissa. Yes, I did think that. Also, 'life technologies' doesn't sound right to me in English.

It comes up occasionally translated as "life technologies" (www.efbweb.org/who/frameuniv.htm), but that doesn't really seem to be anything distinct from biotechnology - maybe a redundancy in the list?
