Spanish term (edited): Latosotes Arcillo rojizos

Coincido con Taña que es "latosoles" y no "latosotes", la diferencia es que son "reddish", no "red". Además, "arcillo" está como contracción de "arcillosos", por eso usé "clayey" (el sustantivo es "arcilla", la palabra "arcillo" no es correcta).

plural: Latosols

I agree with Ma. Fernanda, it's reddish (rojizo), latosol (latosol) but the term that best describes arcilloso, is argillaceous:

applied to all rocks or sediments composed of clay minerals or having a notable proportion of clay (dictionary of geological terms, American Geologicaql Institute, 1976)

The term argillic could be applied here, as well: pertaining to clay or clay minerals. Said of a soil horizon characterized by an illuvial accumualtion of clays (op cit).
