En complément pour Dr Jones : une dotation comptable est un élément du compte de résultat. Il n'y a aucune raison de retrouver le terme dans le bilan. Il n'y aurait que "Provisions" ou "Amortissements".

: dotation here means given / contributed, not increase in depreciation// I am an accountant and perfectly know what you may or may not find on a BS. Just give a look at the asker comment...

That's how I had understood it as well. It is the first item listed under the heading 'Capital', and the next item down is 'Dons et Legs'.
