Koran
« Dieu, notre Seigneur, fais nous descendre une table du ciel ; qu’elle soit un festin pour le premier et le dernier d’entre nous » (Coran, V,114).
I don't know the proper translation or how to look this up in the Koran. If anyone knows a good English translation, please let me know! Many thanks!

Sentence from the Koran
(see below)
marmaduke picthall's translation:
"....O Allah, Lord of us! Send down a table spread from heaven, that it may be a feast for us, for the first of us and for the last of us..."
However this isn't all of it. I am pretty sure you can google it up by chapter & verse (5:114)

Sentence from the Koran
See below ...
[5.114] 'Allah, our Lord,' said (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary, 'send down upon us a table out of heaven, that shall be a festival for us the first and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us; You are the Best of providers.'

Sentence from the Koran
below:
O Allah, our Lord! send down to us food from heaven which should be to us an ever-recurring happiness, to the first of us and to the last of us.
However, the sentence that you presented here, seems to be only a part of the whole fragment, which goes : Isa the son of Marium said: O Allah, our Lord! send down to us food from heaven which should be to us an ever-recurring happiness, to the first of us and to the last of us, and a sign from Thee, and grant us means of subsistence, and Thou art the best of the Providers.
Probably there are different translations, the one above was found by me here:

Jesus, son of Mary, said: O Allah, Lord of us! Send down for us a table spread with food from heaven, that it may be a feast for us, for the first of us and for the last of us, and a sign from Thee. Give us sustenance, for Thou art the Best of Sustainers.
See link below. It's an excellent reference. I am a native speaker of Arabic.

: Unless there's a good reason to do otherwise, using the direct translation (rather than the French) seems appropriate. This one solves the "table/food" problem nicely, the original "table" clearly meaning, in the context, "a table spread with food."
