I think 'las mismas' refers back to the last feminine plural noun i.e. 'soluciones'. So you could reword the sentance but still capture the meaning as follows: ..... "

This is what I tell my tax clients - 'I try to get them the best tax treatment by making the tax laws work in their favor.'
