: dismantling parts of brickwork may be a step in a "вычинка" process, but it's the same as translating "переШить" as "cut".//You may need to first dismantle something to restore something but that doesn't make "dismantle" = "fix"/"restore"

I'm not sure of the exact meaning of вычинка, so it may be that this answer is too specific and Alexander's more general "brickwork restoration" is more appropriate.

: I would use "repointing" but this is what was done when my house was restored and it applied to all the work performed. If you are looking for the term commonly used in the UK, this is it.
