Spanish term
la Investigación propiamente dicha
Spanish to English
Social Sciences
Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
seems to be a standard phrase
Naturaleza de la Metodología de la Investigación propiamente dicha
it's the 'propiamente dicha' bit - sorry if it seems obvious...-?
they go on to describe the details of how they carried it out, etc.
not sure if there's an equally standard phrase in Eng.

strictly speaking, the nature of the research methodology
an option. I understand propiamente dicha = strictly speaking, but I also think it is sort of a throw-away phrase here in that it doesn't really mean much (esp. if this is a section title). I believe--but I'm not sure--that it's meant to modify naturaleza rather than "research methodology" ...
Note from asker:
Thank you Patricia - I thought it sounded redundant, but as it was the title of a chapter, I wondered whether it was something more important! |

more appropriately, the nature of the research methodology
I'm not sure, it almost sounds like there was another term used for this one earlier on in the document, and they decided to be a little more specific
