Sorry to disappoint you, but the word has no meaning beyond the wrestling term for various neck holds. I suspect there's a Scandinavian heritage in there; Nilsson, Nielsen, Nilsen all mean son of Nils, and are among the most common names in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
