hood filter
"hood filter" seems to be much more common, & I wouldn't stumble over it. It sounds like a hood exctractor system for a chemistry workplace that is equipped with a filter. Depending on what precisely the intended purpose is (and here I have to agree with reinerc) you might want to consider calling it a "fume hood", which is more common still.
