English term

feathering

English to Italian Other Textiles / Clothing / Fashion pellicce
Feathering:
“Feathering” is the term used for the technique which aims to make a full fur lighter and a collar or trim less bulky. For this, the entire skin is cut into strips of even width, and a leather strip is sewn between each pair of fur strips. This makes the fur flatter.
