childhood episodes / episdodes [that occurred during his childhood

"Episodes" is, I think, the best translation here for "pasajes". The problem with "episodes of his upbringing" is that it would not be said by a native speaker of English.

"Pasajes" is definitely *not* "flashbacks" here.

Suerte.

Erratum:

childhood episodes
OR
episodes [that occurred] durig his childhood

With "that occurred" being optional

Sorry for the mistake.

As I see it, the problem with "periods" here is that, in English, the word refers to rather longer stretches of times, and it sounds like the reference here is to discrete events, or "episodes".

I would use tales here as this, in my veiw, would be more likely to be used in native English.

Thanks Schon.
agree Muriel Vasconcellos : I think "memories" is best because they are events interpreted subjectively and burnished over time. There's a slight problem working it into the rest of the sentence. How about: "memories of his childhood in the countryside"?
