Contexto: Un hombre ciego habla de sus relaciones con las mujeres y dice que él no se puede "deleitar" mirándolas , ni disfruta de la anticipación al mirar a una mujer bonita etc. Que él sólo disfruta cuando pasa a la acción. Y el texto es:

En principio apoyo la idea de clb: conocerse a uno mismo.
Esta es simplemente una pequeña variante de ese mismo concepto a partir de la idea que me dan las palabras de esta persona, es decir que hay muchas maneras en las que uno puede verse a sí mismo; sobre todo porque después de esta frase menciona el "llegar a ser uno mismo" (become you) y porque afirma que cree en la "exploración", etc.

hay muchas formas de llegar/aprehender/ contemplar el conocimiento
creo que es una mezcla de diferentes significados de see through, principalmente: 1- understand the true nature of someone beneath appearance 2- handle a situation and bring events to a happy conclusion; si utilizamos "contemplar", mantenemos la referencia a ver (see), pero queda un poco pasivo; por otro lado, no olvidemos la variante de conocimiento como "conocimiento carnal".
Creo que en otro registro conocerse, a secas, puede incluir conocerse a uno mismo y conocerse entre dos personas.
