toning
obviously not a direct translation - more of a paraphrased solution. By the context it seems to refer to muscle tone, so maybe something along the lines of 'improves muscle tone' OR 'tones muscle tissue'
just a suggestion! good luck

I found the above forum discussion on the \'muscle drying-out process\'. This basically involves drinking lots of water, then abruptly stopping - as a result of this, the body pumps water from other cells to muscle cells, depleting fat cells and pumping muscle cells - at least that\'s how i understand it! maybe this is what you\'re looking for!

gaining lean muscles
another idea...
gaining lean muscles, freed from fat, is an obsession for some people... at any cost.

cutting
That's basically the term used in bodybuilding circles (I've been bodybuilding for over 15 years).
Those of us that take it seriously focus on two different types of cycle: bulking and cutting. Bulking is when you're looking to pack on muscle mass by taking in more calories than usual and lifting heavy to aid muscle growth, which incidentally increases your lean body mass (LBM). A few months prior to competition time (or simply if you want to look good for the summer!), you start the cutting cycle, which involves reducing the number of calories and doing more cardio work. Doing so reduces your excess fat and helps to show off all that lovely muscle definition underneath (giving what we call a "ripped' appearance). If done correctly, you retain as much lean body mass as possible.
Hope that helps...

schage musculaire
reducing body fat
this séchage has nothing to do with the muscles themselves, it's really about less body fat vs muscle tone or build-up.
