in more than one region
nationwide and not just in a single region

keep away from supra and trans - these are what I call \"Eurospeak\" language. No self-respecting Englishman/woman would talk like that!

: Sounds most logical to me. If we're talking about a specific "Bundesland", maybe we could say "not just in [the state of Baden-Württemberg] but also nationwide".

: I find "transregional" or "trans-regional" very expressive, especially for the given context. Yes, "supra-regional" would follow immediately after.

: "Supra-regional" could work, but I think it sounds too much like legalese.

in different areas/regions of the world
perhaps, given that *domestically/nationally* is covered

In keeping with *multi-region* DVD players, I think *multi-region* might fit the bill though I\'m not certain, of course.
The German authors might have had the term multi-region on their mind or may have previously translated it into *proper* German ... and now it\'s going back into English. Anything\'s possible these days :-)

transregional[ly] is another option
both 'supraregional' and 'transregional' (in each case either hyphenated or unhyphenated) are widely used terms in this context, though the adverbial forms (with -ly) are avoided where possible

: I find "transregional" very good, expressive and only one word, compared with my "global zones".

Being about the geographical structure/positioning of a Client-Server software that is planned to be used more that within a country, this implies “global zones”, which sounds better (less generic) than “international”.

This was for example used by my former company when pipeline systems were under discussion. Maybe it'll fit here.
