I am a professional translator based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. I obtained a diploma in translation from Africa's leading translation school, the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters of the University of Buea.

I have been working as in-house Translator for the Cameroon Government and as an independent freelance translator since 2006, with specializations in Automotive, Computer and Information Sciences, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information Sciences and Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Video games and General.

Finally, what makes me a good and reliable translator? Though I was brought up with French as mother tongue, my immediate and extended families are from English-speaking background, a situation that helps me translate from time to time into my B language. I have been fanatical about grammatical and spelling accuracy. I keep up with French culture and current affairs both on the Internet and by listening to French radio.

This, combined with the specialty training and experience, has made me become very aware of linguistic trends and gives me the edge when it comes to choosing the appropriate register/terminology when translating a text. Even when working at high speed, I do not neglect accuracy and would therefore be particularly suitable for the demands of working with tight deadlines, and I can maintain high standards even under pressure. I ALWAYS meet deadlines. All I ask of potential clients is to be given the chance to do a test piece, those who do so usually pick me and I have a very good record of past clients offering me more work.
