Spanish to English (Universidad de Alcalá) Spanish to English (Venezuela: UCV) English to Spanish (Universidad de Alcalá) English to Spanish (Venezuela: UCV) French to Spanish (Venezuela: UCV)
I studied translation and interpreting in Caracas - Venezuela, my hometown. I began to work as freelance translator while I was still studying. For more than 8 years I have worked for companies in Venezuela, and other Latin-American countries in a variety fields; marketing, finance and technical manuals, to name a few.
I moved to Spain three years ago and I decided to specialize, pursuing a master's degree in Intercultural Communication and Public Services Translation and Interpreting (Community Interpreting).
My background gives me the opportunity to work with clients in different areas and locations; they all consider me a reliable translator, because I am very detail-oriented, always deliver my translations on time and adapt easily to my clients demands. Some of the fields I currently work on are:
• Medical: Translations for pharmaceutical companies of package inserts, clinical trials, information for patients and doctor, articles and papers, among others. Interpreting on conferences and congress. Community interpreting in health care settings.
• Marketing: Translations of market research studies, advertising campaigns, courses, magazine articles, etc. for important market research companies. Interpreting in focus groups and meetings between the company and its clients.
• Human Rights and International Cooperation: Translations for ONGs of projects, human rights reports, news articles, campaigns, etc. Community interpreting in social services settings.
• Escort interpreting.
