Bio
I have a bachelor's degree in English language and literature. Having worked as an English professor for two years at a medical college and my experience as a pharmacy technician at a hospital have contributed to my expertise in medical translation and interpretation . In addition, I am an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction literature as well as a sports fan and a former travel agent, which has helped me improve my knowledge of the terminology used in those fields.

I did my college degree in my native country of Cuba, where I developed my passion for languages. Over there, I worked as an English-Spanish simultaneous and consecutive interpreter at several international events held at Havana Conventions Center; I also performed my first translation jobs for Universidad de las Villas.
I have been living in Canada since 2009 and although my regular jobs have been in the pharmacy world, I have done informal translation works for family and friends and have recently started subtitling for TED Talk and translating for Babelcube.

I consider myself a hardworking professional who understands and applies the highest standards in the industry, committed to respecting work deadlines and improving my proficiency. My goal is to become a full-time translator and widen my fields of expertise.
