Description | The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Manitoba (ATIM) was incorporated in 1980. It is a non-profit association and an affiliate of the Canadian Translators and Interpreters Council (CTIC). CTIC is an umbrella organisation for the provincial and territorial associations of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Qu�bec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut. The objectives of the Association are to provide a collective voice for its members, to ensure that members exercise their profession in accordance with its Code of Ethics, and to protect the public interest by ensuring the quality of the services rendered by its members. Successful completion of an examination or a portfolio evaluation confers the status of certified member, which is portable among all member societies. |
