Source text - English The objective of cleaning validation is to generate documented evidence of high degree of assurance that the cleaning procedures can effectively reduce residues of products, of cleaning agents and of microbial count from the manufacturing equipment to a level that does not raise patient safety concern.
Validation of cleaning methods is based on results of cleaning tests of items of representative equipment after at least 3 commercial size batches of appropriate products, when cleaning is performed in the maximum time period after production as defined by relevant SOPs.
This Master Plan covers all cleaning validation activities in the pharmaceutical plants in Taro. Haifa, that may have a direct impact on the in-process or finished product quality, purity, potency or identity. It includes but is not restricted to:
Identification of the cleaning processes to be validated
Establishment of cleaning validation acceptance criteria
Documentation of the cleaning validation activities
Functional and reporting responsibilities
Validation / R&D interfaces: Launch of new products
Validation / Quality Management interfaces:
