While in the UK (2002-2010) I worked with the British police, courts and solicitors; after moving to Poland in April 2010 I work as a proofreader and translator for many international language agencies and private clients.
I have MA in English, and Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) with specialisation in English Law. In 2007 I became a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in London, and was listed on the National Register of the Public Service Interpreters.
I feature in the registry of the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations as a specialist translator in the following fields: Law; Medicine, Health Care, Pharmaceuticals and Veterinary Science; Tourism; Industry and General Technical Issues. The licence is awarded to translators with necessary qualifications - MA in Translation and other diplomas, specific to the given translation field, and experience (over 3 years in each field of specialisation).
Competent with Trados, Across, Nitro Professional OCR, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and other software. |
