I am an experienced translator from English to Serbian and vice versa. Over the last 9 years, working as a freelance translator or as a part of a team of a translation agency, I have translated thousands of pages of documents in the fields such as international law, human and minority rights, finances, environmental protection, public administration, agriculture, foreign affairs, including acquis and various international treaties, UN documents, European Commission documents, intergovernmental communications, and other documents.

In my work, I use SDL Trados and MultiTerm.

Additional experience includes previously working as a Translator for 3 years for a civil engineering company (Mostogradnja AD Beograd), and for the Association of Accountants and Auditors of Serbia (for 6 months), which helped me expand my knowledge of specialized vocabularies in the field of civil engineering/mechanical engineering and finances and accounting, respectively; and literary translation (translation of the non-fiction bestseller The Lost Boy: A Foster Child's Search for the Love of a Family by Dave Pelzer into Serbian).

In terms of formal education: I obtained a BA in English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade in April 2000, with the average grade of 8.27. I subsequently studied Democracy and Transition in the Southeast Europe at the Alternative Academic Educational Network (AAEN), graduating as one of the best students of the generation 2001/2002. My thesis "The Globalization of Violence – The World after September 11th, 2001" was published in the biannual collection of best works by the students of AAEN “Rani radovi polaznika Alternativne akademske obrazovne mreže 2001-2003.“ (Belgrade, 2004). I also received a diploma in Gender Studies (Belgrade, 2004).  My studies at the AAEN have helped me expand my knowledge of political, legal and economic vocabulary.

A native speaker of Serbian, am fluent in English and French, and I speak German.
