For 25 years I have been translating in almost every field imaginable, but for the last five years most of my work has been on business, legal, and technical documents, with emphasis on petroleum, civil engineering, and the sciences.
I spent 15 years as an in-house translator for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, translating correspondence, reports, and technical documents; editing and supervising the work of part-time employees, editing and proofreading Spanish publications, escort interpreting, writing reports and articles in English on the work done by translators, teaching a seminar on poetry translation, coordinating translation and editing of the Spanish Liahona magazine, evaluating tests of prospective employees, translating many songs and hymns from English into Spanish, coordinating translation of the Spanish hymnbook published in 1992, and general troubleshooting.
For the last ten years I have worked as a free-lance translator, and my work has centered on business, legal, and technical documents, including four manuals or books of over 100 pages each.
My rates are reasonable and the quality of my work is excellent. |
