Bio
I grew up in London. Learned to read and write in English before I did in Russian. Used to be bilingual, but since I no longer have dreams in English at night, I guess that chapter of my biography is over.

At the age of 15 I was asked to interpret at a press conference. It was Moscow; it was the nineties. Anybody who knew English was considered fit for the job. I was, and still am, of the few actually fit for it.

Currently I mainly translate fiction, movie scripts and commercial texts on travel & tourism. Always open to new interesting freelance jobs. I can make a really badly worded original sound good in translation.

Used to be a frequent KudoZ Asker because brainstorming is the perfect way of finding the words you need, and this is a good place to brainstorm.

Oh, and this: I'd rather do a test translation than show off my CV and stuff. As a matter of personal principle.
