My love for languages goes way back to a time where I didn't even remotely consider making a living from them. Following my native language German, English was the second language that sparked my passion for all things linguistics. That's why I decided to go for a degree in English and German Linguistics and Literature. I also hold a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (C2), which I passed with grade A. After living in different parts of the world,
including Brisbane, London and Brighton, my heart has settled on
Manchester. I've been working as a freelance copywriter since 2017, and I used to teach German as a foreign language in adult education. Outside of being a one-woman-band, I am usually found reading, drinking coffee or going for long walks with my dog. I also like to explore new places and cultures – in 2018, I went on a four-month long world trip with my dad –, try my hand at learning Icelandic, and love to cook and bake. |
