Canadian national sport!? I was aware that Canadians (Canucks) were playing organized leagues by the 'turn of the century,' that is the turn before the recent one. But had to look it up and was surprised to see Sweden started with hockey as early as 1912. BTW thanks for the point!

Since hockey is a North American game this is what they call it. I'm presuming this refers to the goalie -- counting a statistic for how good they've been playing or such. Sometimes this is measured in (consecutive) 'shutout minutes.'
