magical lakes/ponds
Explanation:
"Troll-" is used here to imply a magical quality. The example sentences are from the links. (You'll need to scroll down a bit at the second one to find the example.)

Between "lake" and "pond", I suppose I'd use "lake" for your probably Euro audience. However, for someone who grew up in a state calling itself "The Land of 10,000 Lakes", I find it hard to do that for such small bodies of water as are involved here. In some parts of the U.S., "pond" would be more likely in this case.

disagree  Sven Petersson: "Trolltjärn" may be a proper noun, but "trolltjärnar" is not. Kindly note the absence of leading capital.

-> My suggestion is simply based on the fact that more or less all hits on Google do have a capital t. I posted the references below (that I refer to in my answer) and was encouraged by Charles to post as an answer.

Notes to answerer
Asker: "glacial trough lakes" is exactly correct, though in this context magical lakes/ponds is more appropriate.

neutral  Charles Ek: Yes, I had searched my own synapses in vain for an appropriate geomorphology term. But given the broad context of the other things here ("mountains, valleys, forests"), I suspect the text is more oriented toward tourism.

Example sentence(s):
  • A nature experience on a grand scale: steep canyon walls, old untouched forest, giant kettle holes, caves, stone blocks, deadwood, magical lakes and more.
  • As we wandered among the magical ponds and islands at the headwaters of Thousand Island Lake, still rippling with drizzle, it became apparent to me that our pace would have to increase substantially if we were to finish the High Route in time.

trolltarns

Explanation:
Depends if you want sth that everyone will understand or sth a bit more mystical

'Tarn' is good English but many people won't know what it is.

But it does comes from the Nordic word 'tjärn' (see reference) and so is a very possible translation

And it keeps the two T's as in Swedish

Reference information:
A "tjärn" seems to be some sort of mountain lake, tarn.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarn_(lake)

"Trolltjärn" seems to be a proper noun:

Trolltjärn is a small lake on Bergnäset in Luleå, close to the airport.
http://www.visitlulea.se/goera/aktiviteter/info.aspx?lang=en...

Trolltjärn is the result of the powerful forces found in a glacial river that thundered through here at the end of the last ice age. The glacial river eroded away loose moraine material from zones of weakness in the rock and a canyon was formed. Trolltjärn is now a water-filled canyon and is about 12m deep. The high walls of rock fall vertically into the black water. On the northern wall, at the waterline, a Stone Age person has depicted a successful hunt. The river Lägstaån passes by and connects to the lake. The area is above the marine limit.
