[es] una trama del 0 is a creation of nothingness / is equivalent to a blank slate / Explanation: I think this is the idea. At least it will get the discussion started. |

a plot of the zero Explanation: http://inspirehep.net/record/1472108/plots I could only come up with a literal translation, which I doubt it will shed much light onto this conundrum. However, I don't see what else could it be. The only thing I can think, is that like a "0", his non-narrative work (paintings?), are not trying to "add" or "subtract" anything, it is just a "neutral" communication, without any additives... (????) (Is that enough question marks???) At any rate, I am just throwing this in case that inspires you, but I hope to God, nobody is going to hit me with 5 disagrees... Nor I look forward for 2 agrees... that would "unbalance" my zero theory... Then, going from zero to hero, would not fit the bill either... ;-) Good luck! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 days (2018-05-16 01:25:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The other idea on this, (and to somehow justify your gratitude ;-) is to understand "trama" as, 4. f. Disposición interna, contextura, ligazón entre las partes de un asunto u otra cosa, y en especial el enredo de una obra dramática o novelesca. Which is basically "plot", but if we consider this "enredo" as a "messy plot", with zero conflict, with zero "messiness", as a "square zero" point, a "beginning" point, or rather, since he is talking about "deconstructing", the idea is probably to have an "embroidered scene", from which, subtracting complexities, we can get to a "zero". As Muriel notes, it is a creation of a "nothingness" (from something, I presume confusing). So now, with a "blank" (zero) canvas, one can start to paint newly, from a "virgin" territory. So, I would probably "translate" or "interpret" the statement as La experiencia no narrativa de su obra es una trama del 0 como práctica deconstitutiva The non-narrative experience of his work is a process of going back to square zero, as a deconstruction practice-- Looking at this newly, I believe this may make some sense, and help you to "plot" a more or less plausible translation. Being a Spanish native, without further context, that is the only interpretation I can get out of the text. So, I hope that helps! Saludos cordiales. |
