Spanish term or phrase: cantera de lajas
This is from a treatment for a film project based in Argentina. "Lajas" is, apparently, slabs, but as far as I know they are not mined whole in quarries. The context is not technical, but is simply "quarries" too general? Many thanks

neutral  philgoddard: Actually this gets very few hits - it says there are over 20K, but there are only 79, and most don't contain this phrase.

agree  patinba: Flagstone quarry might be more common, but slab works too.
