Hola a todos,
El documento arriba mencionado parece ser el documento con el que se inscribe la defunción de una persona en el Registro Civil de Colombia. No se trata de un acta de defunción en sí, porque no tiene todos los datos demógraficos, causa de fallecimiento etc. típicos en ese tipo de actas, sino que nada más aparece el nombre del fallecido, fecha de la defunción, documento con el que se atestigua y autoridad que lo emite, y la persona que lo informa. Por esa razón no pienso que traducir el encabezado como Death Certificate sería correcto, pero al mismo tiempo una traducción literal tal como Civil Registration of Death no me convence...alguna sugerencia??

Si existen diversos formatos del acta de defunción y la que estás traduciendo es la breve, podrías referirte a ella como Extract of Death Certificate. Pero tal vez no sea necesario, no todas las actas contienen la causa de muerte. Saludos.

agree  Giovanni Rengifo: Totally agree with you. I'd just call it "death certificate". "extract" is what they use for the short version,and I believe they use "unabridged" for the ones containing complete information of the death in question.
