U prvom bloku izvedena je nastava iz procentnog računa, direktne i obrnute proporcije i verižnog računa, dok su u okviru drugog bloka obrañeni račun mešanja i račun podele.
Themes from the first block lectures were: percentage calculus, direct and indirect proportion and “chain” calculus, and from the second block lectures: mixing calculus and profit sharing calculus.

Ovo je tipičan problem mešanja ali nešto složeniji (uvedena je zavisnost od vremena):

(2) A mixing problem. A tank contains 100 L of pure water. Brine containing 1 g of salt per litre enters the tank at a rate of 1 L/min. The solution is kept well stirred and drains from the tank at the same rate of 1 L/min, so the volume of solution in the tank is 100 L at all times. Let us find the amount y(t) of salt in the tank at time t. (Time t is measured in minutes and the clock starts ticking when the brine starts entering the tank.)
