Großer Vaterländischer Krieg Note to the asker: Yes, this is the German term for this war. Deutsch-Sowjetischer Krieg was never and is never used for it.
If you do not use an article before that term, then my suggestion is right.
And as Andreyj Rychkov has written, one has to say: der Große Vaterländische Krieg (if one uses the article. So there ! is no "r" at the end of the words "Große" and "Vaterländische")
