Japanese term or phrase: 取りまとめ店、取扱代表店
Hello!
These two words appear in a section talking about the different types of financial institutions that the company/customers have transactions with.

For 取りまとめ店, from a Google search it seems as though it is a bank branch nominated in an area that then collects together in one place payments and deposits that are made at other branches. But I have no idea what the corresponding word would be in English. At the moment I'm leaning towards "nominated branch", but it would be a bit of an atypical usage.

And for 取扱代表店, I couldn't really find anything on the internet. So I'm leaning towards just a literal translation, like "transaction representative branch".

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

English translation:Representative Office
Explanation:
If it was regarding insurance, I would use "agency", but if it is about banks or security companies, I would use, "representative office".

Explanation:
I am just taking a guess at a possible term for 取扱代表店. It might help a bit to see the sentence the terms occur in.

Asker: Thanks for the suggestion. I like the word "agency", but it might be a bit too broad for this instance. I've put a bit more description up as a "discussion entry". I'm not sure if it will help though.

取扱代表店
typical client companies

Explanation:
Does the text list multiple company names after the term "取扱代表店"? If so, it could be similar to "取り扱い代表銘柄" ("typical brands carried") and mean something like "typical client companies", "example client companies", or "client companies include...".

Asker: Thanks for the suggestion. I have to apologise, though, because I've realised that my initial description wasn't as helpful as it could have been. There isn't actually a list of specific banks and companies. Instead, it's part of a list of "types" of financial institutions (including post offices, ag cooperatives etc).

Asker: Thanks for the suggestion. I think that "representative office" is about as close as it's going to get.
